Primetime Battle of the Birds.

We should all be in store for another great night of football tonight. This is the 2nd time these two earthshattering MVP candidates have faced off this season. Last time Kyler Murray and the Cardinals barely squeaked out a week 7 victory, defeating the favored Seahawks in overtime 37-34.

Fantasy Starts/Sits This Game

Kyler Murray: Start

Kyler.jpg

Kyler is a must start. The last time these two teams faced off Kyler scored a season high 38.10 fantasy points. Throwing the ball for 360 pass yards, 3 passing touchdowns and one interception, completing 34 of his 48 pass attempts while also leading the team in rushing. Running the ball 14 times for 67 yards and a touchdown. It’s safe to say that Kyler can really pick and choose how he wants to attack this bottom of the league Seattle defense.

Russell Wilson: Start

There’s a large chance that you aren’t in the situation to be able to sit Russell Wilson, or that the person you’re replacing him with will end up being less productive than him. Russell hasn’t had the greatest last two weeks of football. This doesn’t mean that he’s not Russell Wilson. In their last meeting Wilson put up a very sizable 29.92 fantasy points, and with Seattle’s leading rusher out of the backfield being Alex Collins or Carlos Hyde; the Seahawks gameplan will most like go through Wilson.

DeAndre Hopkins: Start

The only thing to note about DHop is that he’s been battling through injury all year. Last game he had to exit against the Bills, before returning on the last drive and catching the game winning buzzer beater. With that being said he is a target hog, and should look to bring you at least a WR 2 performance this week.

DK Metcalf: Start

DK looks to see an increase an usage with Tyler Lockett coming into the game with a knee injury. DK has sneakily been the WR 1 on the Seahawks roster all year, and should look to prove those talents during tonight’s primetime slot.

Tyler Lockett: Sit

lockett.jpg

Even though Lockett has been inconsistent all year, he’s saved his fantasy performances by dropping a 28 point game against the Dallas Cowboys and a 38 point game against the Arizona Cardinals. Don’t expect him to see the same production on a hurt knee however. As hard as it is to sit Lockett, it’s more likely that he duds for 5 points tonight than flourishes for 20+ points.

Christian Kirk: Start

Kirk is the WR 28 in half PPR on the season, tucked in between Mike Evans (WR 27) and Davante Parker (WR 29). Kirk has also scored 15+ fantasy points in standard scoring in three out of the past four weeks. If DHops injury is real, then Christian Kirk should be the one to soak up Kyler’s targets against this leaky Seahawks secondary.

Kenyan Drake: Sit

kenyan.jpg

Kenyan just ran for 100+ yards last week, but this game looks like its going to be a shoot out. Drake has struggled to meet the expectations of his first round draft capital all year. Injuries, poor play and Kyler’s running ability have hurt Drake’s ability to have big games. Drake is a touchdown or bust option that improves in the Cardinals lead throughout the game, but might see his value get vultured by Kyler Murray and Chase Edmonds.

Carlos Hyde: Sit

The running back landscape is very scarce these days, and in 2020 sometimes you have to start the old guy. This is not one of those times. Carlos Hyde should see almost 100% of the touches out of the backfield tonight, should he play. However you can give me 50 touches against the Cardinals, that doesn’t necessarily mean that I’m going to produce, and as mentioned with Russell Wilson I believe that tonight will be pass heavy for the Seahawks. The situation gets worse if he’s unable to play. I don’t trust Alex Collins to accumulate yards against this Cardinals defense, and I wouldn’t play any Seahawks running back.
