World Fantasy Championship Qualifier and Wednesday Million
Today’s game might still get cancelled; so let’s explore how I plan on attacking the World Fantasy Football Championship Qualifier:
Derrick Henry: By trying to add Henry into my lineup this week I am weakening the TE, WR, and Def. The question is, is Derrick Henry worth making other positions score less. You can pay down at RB and elevate the floor of this lineup, but I’m not trying to money, or even get second. The only place that matters is getting 1st, otherwise there’s no qualifying to the championship. Henry’s last three games were against the Colts, Ravens, and then Colts again. His yards per carry during these games was 5.4, 4.8, and 6.6. Henry has never had less than 18 carries per game. Henry has only ran for over 100 yards seven games this year. I will probably be paying up for Henry for the rest of the season.
Nick Chubb: Baker Mayfield looks bad. Kevin Stefanski got a job in Cleveland was for his ability to cover Kick Cousin’s stink with the run game in Minnesota. Against a tough team, with a middling run defense, there’s no way that they are putting the ball in Baker’s hands. If both teams play their normal gameplan of running out the clock and playing defense, this could be one of the best rushing games of the season.
Kirk Cousins: As much as Cousins stinks, he’s leading this roster to the Super Bowl. He’s not going to put up as much fantasy points as he did last week, as he was forced to throw in a game where they were consistently behind. The Jaguars are one of, if not the worst team in the league. The Vikings are going to run the ball and try not to turn the ball over. Even still, Cousins in the last 4 weeks has thrown for 11 touchdowns. I view Kirk as a lock to score two touchdowns which makes me more comfortable about his pricing
Adam Thielen: Justin Jefferson is a monster, but Theilen is the red zone threat. If I’m betting on Cousin’s to throw two touchdowns, Theilen might catch them both. Adam’s the 9th most expensive Wide Receiver, 300 dollars more expensive than the suspended Will Fuller. Theilen will most likely out produce his pricing.
KeKe Coutee: $4,800 for the Texans WR 2’s bad matchup? We don’t have a choice. Keke was the last player I picked, and the best available player for the pricing. Brandin Cooks is the much better option of this Texan’s offense. We’re hoping that Coutee steals a TD from the long time great.
Allen Lazard: Marques has been eating in Lazard’s absence but gets 0 catches in the sophomores 1st game back. It’s obvious who Rodger’s favorite target is. You can see Aaron shaking his head every time MVS drops a ball. With Davante Adams going against Darius Slay, Lazard will be free to to slice through this leaky Eagle’s secondary.
Trey Burton: The Colt’s TE situation seems unpredictable but Burton has been the clear number one option as long as he is healthy. Burton’s a solid option since we can’t pay up for the baller Darren Waller.
Austin Ekeler: Ekeler got his season high carries returning from an injury that most thought would sideline him out for the year. Herbert has fixated on Ekeler in every game that he’s played. It will be easier for the rookie to find Ekeler with Keenan Allen going against Stephon Gilmore.
New York Jets: The Raiders have played down to their competition all year. Adam Gase doesn’t call the plays on defense.
Wednesday Million Lineups:
This lineup was made before the news that J.K Dobbins and Mark Ingram were activated. I would put Dobbins in over Edwards.
If the Raven’s can’t get anything done on the ground I expect Dez to have the best day for the Ravens. This lineup might do poorly if the Steelers get ahead by too much and start to run out the clock, but if the Ravens Defense shows out against the division rival then expect Ben to revert to his Super Bowl winning form.
