What’s Wrong
What’s Wrong is important not only to review the performance of players from the previous week, but also because it holds me responsible for the content that I put out. Friday and Saturday’s lineups didn’t do nearly as well as Wednesdays. I didn’t have Darren Waller in a single lineup, kind of like last week when I missed on Henry, but at least that time I hit on Tyreek Hill and Patrick Mahomes.
Before I get into the Lineups this week I’d like to highlight the players who did well because I didn’t have as much of them in my lineups this week.
The Baller Darren Waller: 17 Targets, 13 catches for 200 yards and two Touchdowns. Helping Derek Carr finish as Sunday’s Quarterback 1.
Patriots D/ST: 3 sacks, 2 inteceptions, punt return touchdown, blocked field goal for a touchdown. Won the game 45-0.
DraftKings Performance:
Salary: 2,400
Average Draft Percentage: 1.8%
Points: 31.00
FanDuel Performances
Salary: 3,700
Average Draft Percentage: 2.44%
Points: 31.00
Corey Davis: 12 targets, 11 receptions for 182 yards and 1 Touchdown.
DraftKings Lineups:
A lot of these players did well, but without the three players I just highlighted above none of the lineups have a chance to break into the serious money, even with a 2% Baker Mayfield ownership percentage.
FanDuel Lineups:
Derrick Henry was a shot to the heart. I don’t think this was indicative of his rest of season performance as his remaining schedule is against the Jaguars, Lions, Packers, and Texans. All of these teams have had narratives throughout the year of being weak against the rush. The Texans are the 31st ranked rushing defense, with the Jaguars and Lions closely behind at 30th and 28th.
Only being 10 FanDuel points away from the money, David Montgomery and Davante Adams almost helped us recoup some of these losses but they weren’t enough to stop The Baller Darren Waller.
The Jaguars defense was the cheapest option last week with a $3,200 dollar salary and was only in 1.5% of lineups. I often payed up 100 dollars for the Jet’s defense, who finished with a much worse performance.
The Chargers really hurt me this week. I want Justin Herbert to know that I’m not mad. I’m just disappointed.
T.Y Hilton and Micheal Pittman had the same price. Hilton ended up scoring three times as much FanDuel points. Hilton had his highest target count and best performance of the season.
Colt McCoy was able to upset the Seattle Seahawks and me. I’m pretty sure I had some football games at recess where I threw well over 100 yards. At least McCoy had a better day than Shaheen, who had the same fantasy football performance that you did on Sunday.
