Monday Million + Showdown Captain Mode
This article came out a little late with the amount of time it took to review last weeks lineups, which is why I wanted to throw in some captain mode lineups for tonight’s game so that you can still play along with me.
Monday Million:
NFL 100k Huddle:
Since these lineups have already been submitted there isn’t much use for analysis. You can submit your lineups with as much analysis as you want and we’ll highlight it in the next article.
Raheem Mostert: Last week was Mostert’s first game back and he was playing against the rams who are a much tougher rush defense than Buffalo Bills. Mostert was dynamic at the beginning of this season and the end of last season. I assume with Kyle Shanahan’s run first philosophy the 49ers will lean on Mostert over Nick Mullens.
Stefon Diggs: Diggs has been somewhat falling out of favor as of late, but since the 49ers mostly run zone defenses it will be hard for them to get Richard Sherman to cover Stefon Diggs consistently. Their second corner Emmanuel Moseley is out meaning that Jason Verret will be starting tonight. Even if Sherman does manage to cover, and then shut down Diggs, its unlikely they’ll be able to contain Allen and Beasley.
Cole Beasley: With John Brown out, Cole Beasley tends to shine. Cole is my other top candidate captain for the same reasons I like Stefon Diggs.
Josh Allen: The Bills want to keep rolling to lock up their playoff spot. Their entire offense runs through Josh Allen. Devin Singletary and Zach Moss have has terrible fantasy seasons because of their inefficiency on the ground and because of Josh Allen constantly stealing their touchdowns and redzone looks. Josh Allen started the season on fire, and like most Quarterbacks, he plays better when the defense isn’t able to apply pressure. The 49ers have been wrecked by injury making it so they haven’t looked like their Super Bowl selves.
Tyler Bass: Kickers are cheap ways to add stability to lineups. If Josh Allen starts to falter when driving down field, Bass could have 10+ points. The closer the game is, the higher his floor is.
Richie James: James was only targeted once last week, even though he was on the field for 88% of the offensive snaps. James has sneaky value for his price.
