Entries for FanDuel’s 1.5 Thanksgiving Million
*The Steelers/Ravens game has been postponed to Sunday. Be prepared for the game to be delayed further*
Deshaun Watson: Watson is the most expensive Quarterback for a reason. Stafford is battling a hand injury with contributed to the Lions scoring 0 points last week. Alex Smith has averaged 300+ yards passing, it just hasn’t translated into points. Andy Dalton struggled massively the last time he faced off against this Washington defense throwing for 9/19 for 75 yards and an interception before getting knocked out from a dirty hit from Linebacker Jon Bostic, and having to leave the game. Watson should have an easy matchup against the lions.
Will Fuller + Brandin Cooks: Third overall draft pick and Cornerback for the Lions, Jeff Okudah is going to be out this week against the Texans. This should make Fuller and Cooks easy go to targets for Deshaun Watson. Expect Cornerbacks Desmond Trufant and Amani Oruwariye to struggle to cover this explosive receiving duo. Fuller is currently the WR 11 behind Lockett and Cooks is the WR 22 sandwiched in between Mike Evans and Chris Godwin.
D’andre Swift: If healthy, Swift will have the best fantasy day out of all of the RBs on this slate. Houston has the worst rushing defense in the league, giving up an average of 159.3 yards on the ground a game. Patricia just gave Swift the workhorse role against the Washington defense and he was able to perform. Swift carried the ball 16 times for 81 yards and caught all 5 of his targets for 68 yards and a touchdown. He should be primed for an even bigger day on Thanksgiving.
J.D. McKissic: A lot of people believe that the Washington Football Team is going to beat the Cowboys easily. I just find it hard to believe that Washington has a better football team than Minnesota. If the Cowboys win, this should be a McKissic game. If they lose, it will be an Antonia Gibson game.
Terry McLaurin: Scary Terry would probably already have a bust on himself in Canton already if he wasn’t playing for Washington. Terry is the WR 7 on the season even with consistently bad Quarterback play. The Cowboys might be able to stop Alex Smith but they can’t stop Terry McLaurin.
Logan Thomas: He sees targets and that’s all you can ask for from a TE these days.
Amari Cooper: You’re paying for the WR 27 here. With Golladay most likely missing this game against the Texans, I couldn’t find an option with a higher ceiling than Cooper. Cooper also has the highest floor of any Cowboys player.
Washington Defense: Dalton will turn the ball over at least once, and with Chase Young back expect plenty of sacks from this brutal front seven.
Ezekiel Elliot: If the Cowboys are going to see success it’s going to be through the rushing combo of Zeke and Tony Pollard. I was close to paying down for Pollard, but the player pool was so small that it was hardly worth it. Zeke should handle the more valuable work for this Cowboys offense.
Dalton Shultz: There’s a chance that Hockenson just ends up being the correct choice for TE. I believe that Hockenson will play tomorrow. We needed to pay down for TE after paying up our first five spots. Shultz should see more targets as Dalton dumps the ball of to avoid Washington’s ferocious pass rush.
Marvin Jones Jr: With both Kenny Golladay and Danny Amendola out, Jones’ only competition is the other Marvin. Marvin Hall is nursing a toe injury, and while he should be good to go for the game tomorrow, everything lines up for a big day from Marvin Jones. He has disappointed in the past, and it doesn’t help that Matthew Stafford is obviously uncomfortable throwing with his hurt hand. I see Jones Jr as the second option in the offense behind Swift, but I wouldn’t blame you for leaning towards Hockenson.
Cowboys Defense: This lineup hits if the Cowboys win on Thanksgiving. If the Cowboys win and everyone else pays up for the Washington defense, while you pay down for the Cowboys you should be guaranteed the land in the money.
