FanDuel and Factoids
Want to see the results of the lineups? Check out the Instagram! Head over to the top right corner of your screen for the link. Unless you are on mobile, then it should be the three lines on your left.
Lineup 1:
Dejounte Murray: Murray is going to see increased minutes tonight with nearly half of the spurs roster quarantining. It’s worth mentioning that Lemarcus Alrdige will return to starting lineup tonight after being hampered by a right hip flexor. No word has come out yet about a minute restriction, so he could be completely healthy, but if he’s anything less than 100% that just provides more upside for Murray.
Malcolm Brogdon: This Warriors Pacers game has the highest project total on the slate, so you want some of both pies. Life rewards advantageous pie grabbers. Brogdon averages around 30 minutes a game, pushing that total up the last two games with two 40 minute performances. Brogdon can’t get various stats, so he’s not as reliant on his point total.
Zach LaVine: I’m sure that LaVine doesn’t care about the Timberwolves or the fact that they traded him. I don’t even care about the Timberwolves as a fan. However, he has been on a hot streak this season, and betting on the Wolves to disappoint has become my favorite pastime.
Norman Powell: Powell had one pro and a couple of cons. Over the past two weeks, Powell has consistently shown up in successful rosters. The return of Anunoby has lessened his effectiveness. His price is relatively high, and they are facing a top defense.
Mikal Bridges: One of the strongest ways to build a lineup is to fill your roster with 5k value options. Bridges isn’t facing a particularly strong matchup tonight, and he has been consistent on the season.
O.G. Anunoby: Having Anunoby could end up vulturing Powell upside and killing our lineup. The thought here is that the Heat will focus on FVV, Siakam, and Lowry. If that happens they will then hopefully dump off the ball to an open Anunoby who then, in turn, drops a dime from heaven.
Draymond Green: I like players that can score big FanDuel points without having to score buckets for two reasons. 1) I think it makes them more consistent since people don’t often go cold defensively 2) It raises their floor when they do score. Draymond is also inexpensive because isn’t very good right now.
Darius Bazley: With most of the spurs roster out, Bazley and the rest of the Thunder should be able to find the money from three-point land and beyond. Bazley is the perfect example of a mid-priced value play.
Marc Gasol: Gasol has seen his minutes rise in the absence of AD. The Lakers will need their big men in the paint to be able to contend with Rudy Gobert. It doesn’t seem as if Lebron has the capability to carry his team on both sides of the floor at this point of his career, so LA will need the of Gasol and Harell.
Lineup 2:
Steph Curry: Curry is the most important part of the high point total pie. The Pecan Pie of 3 point shooters, if you will. With the rest of his team struggling to hit their shots, Curry continues to be the offensive force that drives this squad.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander: No disrespect to Bazley, but SGA is a much better player. If you have the money to pay up and want to get in against a hampered Spurs squad, then SGA is a great option.
Cameron Johnson: Johnson is very close to FanDuel’s $3,500 price minimum. We’re hoping for more than 18 minutes or 9 points for him to pay up to his pricing. That could also very well not happen, and that’s whys he’s close to the price minimum.
Josh Hart: Hart has seen an increase in minutes, and is now playing against a much worse Pistons squad (dang it). While he probably won’t have 40+ FanDuel point performance as he did three days ago, he will still probably return his price.
Dario Saric: I know that Saric is nothing special, that’s how you spend a short time on the Timberwolves. He has also played most of the year hurt, so his average this year looks worse than it actually is. Saric isn’t a bad player, he just isn’t spectacular.
Jalen McDaniels: The Timberwolves have been consistent in winning the summer and G leagues. Now finally their roster is starting to see some of the fruits of their investment in young talent. McDaniels still has a long way to go before he becomes a household name, but he is contributing to Wolves offense every night.
Rudy Gobert: The Lakers are the 2nd best defense in the league. I still don’t think 8k is enough for Gobert. There are a ton of options at center today, so you should fill out the rest of your lineup first.
