Usurping the 450k Sunday Shootaround + Bonus Entries
The results from the lineups in our previous article:
NBA 450k Sunday Shootaround [100k to 1st]
Marcus Smart: This Celtics team is looking dangerous, however, they’re going against a Pacer’s team that is currently 7th in points allowed. Brad Stevens and this Celtics team have never been afraid to spread the ball against tough defenses. Open shooters will get their shot tonight for Boston, so Smart is my called shot tonight for sneaky points.
Zach Lavine: Lavine is massively overpriced. Lavine hasn’t been playing well as of late, in fact, he’s been outplayed the past two games by Coby White and Lauri Markkanen. That’s also why I have Lavine in this lineup. I expect his performance and pricing will massively lower his ownership. He’s also playing the Golden State Warriors tonight, who have been blown out the two games. This should be a get right game for Lavine, should he ever be able to get right.
Khris Middleton: Middleton is on a revenge tour, erasing our memory of his recent bubble performance with a string of mesmerizing games for the Milwaukee Bucks. I’m sure Giannis is happy to see his partner and crime rattle off two 27+ point nights. In Middleton’s most recent game against the Celtics, he also accrued 14 rebounds and 8 assists. Middleton and the Bucks are facing a middling Knicks defense tonight which should bode well for his point total.
Lauri Markkanen: Markkanen is elevating his game from the previous season. It could be because of looming contract talks. Markkanen has expressed that he is 100% interested in being a Bull. Markkanen is certainly playing for his contract, hitting 3’s and grabbing boards regardless of whether Chicago puts him in at the 4 or the 5. Markkanen is an important name to remember in the offseason if he becomes an unrestricted free agent.
The Lakers role players: With AD possibly sitting this one out, it allows the Lakers to give their role players big minutes against a much worse Minnesota Timberwolves team. The Wolves, much like last year, have started hot this year. The Lakers will be keen to put out that fire. Lebron leads the league in assists last year for a reason, he wants his teammates to feel comfortable in the game and get their shots in. With Lebron dishing it out, and AD possibly out, I’ll take the guys that I think Lebron will be passing the ball to.
Talen Horten-Tucker: I expect the Lakers to blow out the Timberwolves. Horten-Tucker got 11 minutes in their first game, and 7 minutes in their most recent game against Dallas. Horton-Tucker, much like the rest of this lineup, is a hail mary. If you want a more stable roster, I would look to our bonus entries.
