FanDuel and Factoids

It’s good to be back! kicktosscatch should be returning to its content schedule after a much-needed break for film and data analysis for both of the free fantasy football draft kits. We’re also looking to greatly expand on next year’s basketball draft kit, and build upon this year’s release, but as of right now we there’s not enough time to update the basketball draft kit with the season.

It’s important to note that this is the first year of kicktosscatch so there’s a lot of menial work that needs to be done in order to set the framework for future success.

Speaking of future success, with today’s slate being so small, I found it to be relatively easy. I’m pretty confident that both of today’s lineups will be a slam dunk.

Lineup 1:

Terry Rozier: I’m heartbroken to see Melo leave the court for what is most likely his last foray into the season. Rozier doesn’t possess the same upside that Hayward does, but they both represent the most likely options to step into the production left from Melo’s absence. I also appreciate that I can step away from DFS for a week and return to the Wizards still having the league’s worst defense as if they were waiting for my return.

Jamal Murray: Murray is my second favorite play of today behind Hayward. With the Nuggets adding big men to help pad Jokic’s role, and with Murray’s pricing being egregiously low it’s hard to avoid putting him in every lineup.

Bradley Beal + Paul George: There’s some chance that these greats of today’s game, might not play tonight. If that happens, there will be an update posted on Instagram. Otherwise, they are both underpriced, even with a minutes restriction.

Gordan Hayward: I’m so excited about Hayward’s price that I talked about him twice before I even got to the small forward position. It just seems impossible that you could spend 7k for a player who has the upside of being a top-scoring option, seeing increased minutes and usage against the worst defense in the league.

Rui Hachimura: Rui is able to fill up the stat sheet like Russell Westbrook without being hated by the NBA fanbase.

Marcus Morris: Orlando has become a mess after going into full rebuild mode. If George plays, Morris should be the perfect player to stack with him. If he doesn’t play then he sees increased value as a paydown option.

Deandre Ayton: Centers are gross today. Ayton has his games. 🤷

Micheal Scott:

Chris Paul: If Ayton ends up being meh, then Paul/Booker will score 40+ FanDuel points.

Micheal Porter Jr.: The Nuggets have recently added pieces, so it’ll be interesting to see where porter falls in the rotation in a couple of weeks, but as of right now he worth throwing into a lineup or two.

Khem Birch: Birch’s recent 56 point performance FanDuel put him on the DFS map. Birch is trying to undo Andrew Wiggin’s career-long smear campaign against Canadian Basketball. I want to finish this off with a pun about birch trees and Wiggin’s Maple Jordan nickname of old, but alas I am not smart enough. So instead, much like the thought process in posting these DFS articles. I’m handing you the tools, and you surpass anything I could ever possibly do.

Dwight Howard: With Embiid out, and these Denver Bigs, Howard will see a lot of minutes tonight.
