FanDuel and Factoids
Note: kicktosscatch does not currently sell lineups
Did you know that you can join the free NCAA kicktosscatch bracket right from our homepage? You should hurry though! March Madness starts tomorrow.
We are also looking for people to join our 16 person dynasty league. The entry fee is only $10 and that will also close up quickly.
Lineup 1:
Trae Young: Ice Trae has been preparing for moments like tonight for his entire life. It’s always cool to see pictures of Trae as a child next to who was most likely his heroes at the time. It serves as a refreshing reminder that NBA stars started out just like regular people, just like you and I. The defense isn’t normally important for the Guards in the first place, but Houston is currently giving up the most amount of FanDuel points to the Point Guard position. Those are the sort of trends that are worth following.
Lonzo Ball: I keep switching between Zion and Brandon Ingram as the Pelican to target in my lineups to much my own chagrin. After that, I targeted their bench players as pay-down options because of the way they thrashed the Wolves and while that was better I wasn’t completely satisfied. Now the current answer is to pray to Lavar Ball and the empire of BBB.
Victor Oladipo: Oladipo stacks well with Trae Young, and he is relatively cheap. Even though Oldaipo doesn’t want to play for the Rockets he is still playing his best basketball. I respect that a lot. I hope Oladipo gets traded soon, maybe Lavar can help get it done.
Anthony Edwards: Edwards has increased his level of play significantly. Edwards began the year by shooting incredibly inefficiently. The Lakers have the best defense in the league, but like I said with Trae Young, defense generally matters less to the point guard position.
Carmelo Anthony: The return of C.J. McCollum may lower Anthony’s ceilings, but they will be on the court at different times. Really, the McCollum is only a concern for Dame Lillard.
Jake Layman: I don’t think Jake is a great player, but his minutes have gone up with the new coach. I don’t think most people have noticed because they don’t watch the Timberwolves. I think his price is this low because they are trying to bury him. He is my #1 play of today.
Lauri Markkanen: Markkanen has had some time to acclimate to playing basketball after missing some time with AC joint problems in his shoulder. His pricing won’t always be this low, so I want to grab him before he has a great game and not after.
Montrezl Harrel: KAT is looking really shook up right now. I don’t know if he’s in the right headspace for basketball. Harrell is a much better defender than Steven Adams, who had his own showing against KAT a couple of days ago.
Zion Williamson:
Lineup 2:
Dennis Schroder: Schroder has been consistent on the year, too consistent. He doesn’t often have a big boom game, but the Timberwolves look like the sorriest team in the league right now. Lebron still wants to play big minutes and dish out the ball. Schroder is technically listed as a point, but we all know Lebron plays the point and Schroder operates more as an off-ball shooter.
Dame Lillard: C.J is a long-term concern for Dame. If you own Dame in your fantasy basketball league, I would trade him right now before his value goes down. It should take a couple of weeks for C.J. to get back into playing form, so Dame still works in DFS for now.
Talen Horton-Tucker: The Timberwolves are about to get beaten by 8+ points. This is the dude that they play when they’re blowing people out.
Ty Jerome: Diallo being traded has opened up a little more time for Jerome. His 20 point average is exactly what you’re looking for at sub 4k.
Jimmy Butler: Drummond still isn’t playing as Cleveland looks for a trading partner. There have been a lot of rumors surrounding the Toronto Raptors, but Drummond has been out for weeks. And while that is good news for Jarret Allen, it’s bad news for their Cavs ability to stop Jimmy Butler.
Juancho Hernangomez: Copy-paste what I said about Jake Layman and apply it to a player who is slightly better. The Laker’s tough defense could be a bad sign for the Wolves forwards. I think the Wolves will play their forwards for higher minutes tonight to be able to compete with the Lakers size.
Royce O’Neal: You should be cautious when playing O’Neal. He can struggle on the offensive end, and the Celtics deploy their big men strategically. Trying to maximize the matchup advantage from their various different strengths. It’s also important to remember that the Jazz has the best offense in the NBA, and O’Neal is a stater who consistently sees big minutes.
